On Tuesday, October 10th, the primary students at SES had the opportunity to head outside to see and learn all about fire safety. With October being fire prevention month, the students learned about tips to stay safe, what to do if they were ever in a fire, and saw the tools used in an emergency situation. There were EMTs available for questions and they allowed the students to tour inside of an ambulance. The firefighter showed the students the way he looks for children and feels for their feet if they are trapped inside of a building on fire. This was a meaningful and informative demonstration that culminated our district wide safety week. A special thank you to our local fire department for sharing their time and knowledge with our students!
