Made on a Mac

The following videos were made in an EIGHT DAY SCRAMBLE with the students of Mr. Bullard and Miss. Flint's US History classes. The students nor the teachers had prior knowledge of working with the technologies, but were focused and eager to take charge. They did an amazing job! It was my favorite project of the 2008-2009 school year.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: After completing a unit of study on the 1960s the students were divided into groups. The students selected one of the following topics to research/produce a video on:

  • John F. Kennedy & Robert F. Kennedy Assassinations
  • Civil Rights Movement (Martin Luther King Jr. & Malcom X)
  • Women's Rights Movement
  • Counterculture
  • Vietnam War

The students used pre downloaded videos from YouTube.com images from PicSearch.com and music of the era. The students also had to go out and record someone who was directly/indirectly affected by the topic. All media was approved by the educators.
