IRENA SENDLER AWARD: On March 27th, 2008 Mr. Beiter, a Social Studies 8 teacher at S-GI Middle, was awarded the Irena Sendler Award "For Repairing The World". This award is presented annually to individuals who have gone above and beyond working to make a world a better place. Two individuals have been selected for 2008, one from the United States (Mr. Beiter) and one from Poland.
