Refugee and Resettlement Program

The Refugee and Resettlement Program is located in Buffalo, New York. The program assists refugees from around the world, by providing various services. When new families come to Buffalo, they are greeted by translators and interpreters who help them to transition into a new world. They receive assistance with housing, job development, case management, and immigration and citizenship paperwork. School age children are enrolled in the local schools, while adults begin attending English as a second language classes. They begin to learn how navigate a new culture by going to the grocery store and exploring what the city has to offer.
Our students recently visited the facility and became acquainted with some of the teachers, staff members and refugees. We are looking forward to helping the center with supplies and volunteer hours.
