Colden Elementary School’s Student Council members were treated to a surprise party courtesy of local resident Jessica Steele. Ms. Steele, who operates the veteran’s food pantry at Concord V.F.W. Post #431, wanted to thank the Student Council members for collecting donations of personal care products to benefit local veterans and their families through its “Giving Tree” program. In addition to pizza, Ms. Steele presented the students with a cake decorated in patriotic colors and the inscription : “Congratulations on Being Awesome!” We agree!
