Eighth graders in DC.

Eighth-grade students enjoyed their annual trip to Washington D.C.! Building upon a tradition going back to 1998, the group toured our nation's capital's major monuments, memorials and museums, all of which reinforce many of the major topics they are learning in their classes.

Some of the landmarks visited included the U.S. Capitol building, the White House, the Korean War Memorial, the WWII Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Roosevelt Memorial. They also visited the Washington Zoo.

From visiting the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and National Air and Space Museum, the students got a closer connection to the major concepts and history that have played such a major role in our country's development.
