Andrew Beiter

Last week in Washington, D.C., Springville Middle School Social Studies teacher Andrew Beiter met with his fellow inductees into from the 2020 and 2021 classes in the National Teachers Hall of Fame to promote education to members of Congress, the Department of Education, and the National Education Association.  "It was very rewarding to have the opportunity to talk about the power that teaching has on a society," said Beiter. "It was a privilege to be in this situation."

Founded in 1989 by Emporia State University in Kansas, the National Teacher Hall of Fame is committed to drawing the public’s attention to exceptional teachers through a museum, teacher resource center, and recognition program which honors five of the nation’s most outstanding PreK-12 educators each year. It is the only facility of its kind dedicated to preserving and promoting education, and to serving our country by inspiring others to enter the teaching profession and it has been endorsed by practically every national education organization.

Mr. Beiter will go to Emporia in June to be officially inducted. He is one of 150 educators selected in the Hall of Fame's thirty-year history.
