48-Hour Pesticide Use Notification Request 2013-14

New York State Education Law, Section 409-H, effective July 1, 2001, requires all public and non-public schools to provide written notification to all persons in parental relation to a student and all faculty and staff, regarding the potential use of pesticides periodically throughout the school year.

The Springville-Griffith Institute Central School District is required to maintain a list of persons who wish to receive 48-hour prior written notification of certain pesticide applications. There are certain pesticide applications that are exempt from the prior notification requirement. In the event of an emergency application necessary to protect against imminent threat to human health, good faith effort will be made to supply written notification to those on the list.

If you desire, we will place your name on a list of individuals who will receive 48-hour prior notification of a pesticide application.
