Pictured below are the 24 high school math students from all grade levels and classes who participated in the first Math League High School Contest of the school year on October 17th. The Math League Contest is a voluntary event for any interested High School Math student. For each contest students have 30 minutes to complete 6 questions, which may involve any topic from high school mathematics. Each contest includes at least two problems requiring no mathematics beyond elementary algebra and geometry including coordinate geometry. The top five scores are totaled and sent in to represent our school. We compete against other high schools in Erie County. The contests are after school from 2:30 – 3 pm on the specific contest dates. The top scorer from each grade level will receive a certificate at the end of the school year. The other contest dates for this school year are: November 14th, December 12th, January 9th, February 13th, and March 20th.
