What does 2,544 quarters, 3,985 dimes, 2,704 nickels, 15,609 pennies and 881 dollar bills give you? The most successful coin drive ever held by Springville Elementary’s Student Council.
Between February 3rd and 13th a total of $2206.79 was tossed into 31 fishbowls and pond within the lobby of the elementary school. The drive collected funds to support the Springville Community Trout Pond Renovation Project.
The student council would like to thank the teachers and staff of Springville Elementary who matched the total collected from the coin toss, as well as, M&T Bank who kindly counted the money.
Now you know why the trout are smiling in Springville!
