Volleyball Competes Against Lackawanna Steelers

The Varsity Lady Griffs beat Lackawanna in a quick 3 game match last night.  The girls dominated serving, and debuted new talent at the net.  Erica Tyler hit right side and had 3 kills.  Mary Digangi swung strong outside for 6 kills.  Devon Rowe was flawless as defensive specialist, and Sydney Rosati tried her hands at setting and outside hitting.
Emily Ehlers had a starting roll in game 3 with 4 hits and served for  5 points.  The girls travel this week to Pioneer on Wednesday, and to East Aurora on Friday.  They are currently 2-2 and hope to increase that winning record by the end of the week.

The JV girls volleyball team made it 5 in a row on Monday night with a 3-0 sweep of the Lackawanna Steelers. The girls started off sluggishly in both games but found their footing behind the strong serving by Sara Ehlers and Rachel Stressinger. Marie Emerling was excellent at the net to pace the Lady Griff’s. The team took the 3rd game 25-23. That game was great hustle from Jill Roggie and big swings from Liv Schindler. The team is now 5-0 and look to keep things going on Wednesday night.
