The girls tennis team came away with a 4-1 victory over West Seneca East last night. In first singles action Evelyn Berry came away with a 6-1/6-2 victory. Evelyn hit some beautiful shots throughout the match and started to find a good rhythm with her serves. I’m second singles action Natalie Rumfola dominated her opponent by winning 6-0/6-0. Natalie proved to be too much for her opponent as she consistently hit winners and put her opponent in difficult situations throughout the match. West Seneca East had to forfeit third singles. In first doubles action the sister tandem of Peyton and Taylor Wells was on fire as they won their match 6-1/6-1. Both girls made some aggressive plays at the net and continue to improve on the baseline. In second doubles action Jackie Thompson and Gianna Nevins lost 6-3/4-6/6-7. It was a great match but the girls fell in a thrilling tiebreaker. Jackie has made some great strides with her bet play and Gianna did a great job of hustling and contributing during her first ever varsity match. The girls are now 6-2 and head to Lake Shore this afternoon in a non-league match.
