The girls varsity swimming and diving team ended their postseason with some amazing outcomes!
At ECIC we had 15 athletes representing SGI and finished 2nd place overall. At this meet, we had the following accomplishments:
- 400 Free Relay hit sectional qualifying time and took 2nd - Kiersten Crone, Taylor Casey, Erin Baker & Corinne McAndrew
- 200 Free Relay (sectional time) 4th place finish - Corinne McAndrew, Taylor Casey, Mara Swan Campanella & Kiersten Crone
- Corinne McAndrew 2nd and sectional time for 500. It is her personal best time and a drop of 9 seconds! For her 200 IM, she took 3rd and hit sectional cut time as well with another personal best time!
- Taylor Casey hit her personal best 50 free time of 26.58, and took 3rd. Casey also took 2nd in the 100 Freestyle event
- Kate Regan took 4th at diving ECIC and qualified for the class meet this week
- Erin Baker took 4th in 100 back with her personal best time
- Corinne McAndrew took 4th in the 200 IM and dropped more time for her personal best performance of 2:26.43. McAndrew also swam the 500 and dropped to a 5:43.47 and patched for 2nd place.
- 200 Free Relay (Crone, Campanella, McAndrew, and Casey) took 3rd place with the team's best time
- 400 Free Relay (Crone, Cerasani, McAndrew, and Casey) took 4th with a best time of 4:04.13
At our Sectional meet at SUNY Fredonia we had 7 athletes qualify and represent SGI.
- 200 Free Relay (Erin Baker, Kendra Cook, Gabby Cerasani, and Mara Swan Campanella)
- 200 Medley Relay (Kiersten Crone, Mara Swan Campanella, Corinne McAndrew, and Taylor Casey)
- 400 Free Relay (Kiersten Crone, Gabby Cerasani, Corinne McAndrew, and Taylor Casey)
- Corinne McAndrew swam her first individual events at sectionals, 200 IM and 500 Free
