The varsity girls basketball team got back on track last night with a convincing 52-32 victory over the Olean Huskies. The girls started fast, led by a smothering defensive effort in the halfcourt, which propelled the girls to a 10-2 early lead. The team didn’t look back from there as they closed the first half strong with some big shots and outstanding defense.

Dani Oakley came off the bench and poured in a game-high 21 points. Chloe Lester had one of her best all-around games, as she scored 13 points to go along with some fantastic defense. Riley Kamats was once again stellar as her defense turned to offense, and she had 6 points. Meg Rosenswie also had 6 points and did a great job hustling on the boards and playing solid defense. Aurora Gartler did a nice job around the basket and being tough on the rebounds, as she had 4 points. Kailey Lester finished with 2 points, but her defense and effort were the best parts of her game tonight.

The girls want to pack the gym tomorrow night as they host Tonawanda in a big league matchup. Great win, ladies!!!
