The boys tennis team traveled to Amherst last night to take on the Tigers in a non divisional match. The team lost 0-5.

In first singles action Garrett Karb lost 1-6,

 0-6. Garrett struck the ball well on the day but played against a tough opponent. In second singles action Bryce Cook lost 3-6, 2-6. The match was much closer than the result indicated as Bryce hit the ball extremely well and made his opponent work for everything.

In first doubles action Garrison Heichberger and Matt Baumgartner lost 3-6, 5-7. The tandem battled back from a tough first set loss and made the second set highly competitive. Both players showed some great flashes on the day but couldn’t quite put it all together. In second doubles action Nolan Bobseine and Parker Boyles lost 1-6, 1-6. Both boys just couldn’t get comfortable on the courts but battled hard throughout the match. In third doubles action Liam Bobseine and Joel Korf fell 3-6, 0-6. The boys showed some solid shot making early on but couldn’t quite string enough consistent shots together. In exhibition doubles action Frank Keeton and Avery Noeson lost 0-6. It was a tough matchup for the tandem but they had some solid moments along the way. In additional exhibition action, the doubles team of  Ben Watson and Forrest Prouty dropped a tough 4-6 match. Both guys played well overall but couldn’t quite finish the job. In other exhibition doubles action Kaiden Bialasik and Cullen McAndrew lost 1-6. It was an excellent experience for both players as they played against a tough team. The boys did walk away with one win as Brendan Safford and Joel Korf won their exhibition match by a score of 6-5. The boys hung in their match tough and found a way to pull out the win!

The team takes the court again when they travel to Pioneer tomorrow afternoon.
