Tuesday, May 21 Budget Vote & School Board Election

Polls will be open from 10am to 9pm.  Voters must register and/or vote at the polling location you are assigned to, which is based upon the location of your residence and which voting district your residence is located in. 

  1. High School Library Media Center, 290 North Buffalo Street, Springville (Polling District #3) 

  2. Colden Elementary School, 8263 Boston-Colden Road, Colden (Polling District #2) 

  3. Collins Center Fire Hall, Main Street, Collins Center (Polling District #1)

Public Budget Hearing

The public budget hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at the Springville  Middle School Library Media Center located at 267 Newman Street, Springville, NY at the beginning of the S-GI Board of Ed meeting scheduled to start at 6:30pm. 

Voter Registration Day

Voter Registration Day is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, 2024 between the hours of 12noon and 8pm at the following locations: 

  1. High School Library Media Center, 290 North Buffalo Street, Springville (Polling District #3) 

  2. Colden Elementary School, 8263 Boston-Colden Road, Colden (Polling District #2) 

  3. Collins Center Fire Hall, Main Street, Collins Center (Polling District #1) 

You must register at the polling location you are assigned to, which is based upon the location of your residence and which voting district your residence is located in.  If you need information on which voting district your residence is located in, please contact the District Clerk at 716-592-3230 or via email at ktucker@springvillegi.org. 

Voter Eligibility

You may vote on Tuesday, May 21 without pre-registration on Thursday, May 16 if you are a registered voter with the school district.  You are considered a registered voter with the school district if you have voted in at least one school vote since 2020. You are also eligible to vote without pre-registration if you are a registered voter with the Erie or Cattaraugus County Boards of Election and meet the residency requirements.  If you need additional assistance or information on whether or not you are already eligible to vote on Tuesday, May 21, without pre-registering, contact the District Clerk at 716-592-3230 or via email at ktucker@springvillegi.org. 

Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballot applications are available from the District Clerk in the Superintendent's Office at the S-GI Middle School located at 267 Newman Street, Springville.  Please contact the District Clerk at 716-592-3230 or via email at ktucker@springvillegi.org to request an application for an absentee ballot.  Once your application is completed, returned to the District Clerk and verified that the claimant is entitled to vote, ballots will be mailed or given to the applicant(s) in person if hand delivered.  Please note that applications for absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk at least 7 days before the vote (by Tuesday, May 14) if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election (Monday, May 20) if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.  Individuals who are registered with the Erie County or Cattaraugus County Board of Elections as permanently disabled/confined or as a military absentee voter will automatically be mailed an absentee ballot. 

Ballots for absentee voters will not be available until approximately the last week in April.

New! Early Mail Ballots

Early Mail ballot applications for school district budget votes and elections are available from the District Clerk in the Superintendent's Office at the S-GI Middle School located at 267 Newman Street, Springville.  Please contact the District Clerk at 716-592-3230 or via email at ktucker@springvillegi.org to request an application for an Early Mail ballot.  Once your application is completed, returned to the District Clerk and verified that the claimant is entitled to vote, ballots will be mailed or given to the applicant(s) in person if hand delivered.  Please note that applications for Early Mail ballots must be received by the District Clerk at least 7 days before the vote (by Tuesday, May 14) if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election (Monday, May 20) if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.
