Hello SGI Families,
Some of you may have seen information in the media about the fatal shooting that occurred on Adams Road over the weekend. As a parent and educator, I will acknowledge that incidents like this make us all feel uneasy. No one expects these things to happen in a small, close-knit community like ours, and yet, we find ourselves having to grapple with this reality. While this incident is not directly connected to our school district, situations like this cause all of us in education to pause and ensure that our current safety protocols are being followed with fidelity. With that, please be assured that we continue to make safety the top priority for our children and staff each day they come to our schools.
