Good Morning SMS Families.
I apologize for the early text but wanted to send this message that we were made aware last evening of concerns being circulated amongst students regarding allegations of an SMS student posting messages on social media that threatened violence for Monday, January 13th. In working with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, we have determined those allegations to be unfounded. We have also worked directly with the student in question and their family to ensure there is no intent to cause harm. As I have stated previously, in today’s day and age, we know how information like this can put people on edge, which is why I wanted to send this message before the school day. When it comes to school safety, we always appreciate the vigilance that our students and parents demonstrate. Thank you.
James Bialasik, Superintendent
