SPRINGVILLE (July 28, 2025) — The Springville-Griffith Institute Central School District Board of Education approved the appointment of Mr. Bryan Ford to serve as School Business Administrator during a special board meeting on Monday evening.

Mr. Ford currently serves as the Principal at Holland Middle School and School Business Official Intern and will begin his tenure at SGI on August 29, 2025.

“I am excited to welcome Bryan to our SGI family,” Superintendent of Schools James Bialasik said. “Bryan impressed our entire interview committee, made up of stakeholders from across the District. He has a variety of building and district-level experiences, is a skilled leader, and has an adept financial mind.  All that will make him a strong school business administrator. I’m excited to see Bryan forge strong relationships with staff, students, families and our community, while building upon the great work already happening in the SGI Business Office.”

Mr. Ford was selected for his exceptional communication skills, his experience as a skilled leader who is committed to elevating the climate and culture of the district, and his passions for engaging faculty, staff, students and the community.

“I am truly honored and humbled to return home to Springville to serve as the district’s School Business Administrator. I never would have guessed that my business classes at SGI would have been the start of a journey to this role. This community shaped who I am, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back in such a meaningful way,” Mr. Ford said. “SGI has a proud tradition of excellence, and I look forward to supporting its mission through responsible and transparent financial leadership. I approach this role with deep respect for the students, staff, and families who make this district exceptional. It’s a privilege to be part of a team so dedicated to education, and I’m excited to join in helping ensure a strong, sustainable future for our children so they all can achieve their fullest potential.”

Prior to his appointment at Holland in 2019, Mr. Ford served as High School Principal at Moravia Schools and a Dean of Students/Athletic Director at Dryden Schools. He started his career in education as a Social Studies teacher in 2007.

Mr. Ford first received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Adolescent Education - Social Studies, and then earned his Master of Science in Education - Social Studies from SUNY Cortland. More recently, he completed his School Building Leader/School District Leader and School District Business Leader Certification.

His 12 years of district- and building-level administrative experience have given him the opportunity to work on a capital project that brought a turf field to his district, as well as financial planning and budgeting in the face of both surplus and deficit.
