Dear SGI Families:

We hope this message finds you well as we near the beginning of the 2022-23 school year.

We are reaching out to inform you that, despite substantial advocacy at both the State and Federal levels, the waiver that provided free breakfast and lunch to all children nationwide through the pandemic expired on June 30, 2022.

While advocacy efforts have continued throughout the summer, as of today, free meals have not been continued for the start of the 2022-23 school year.

The following prices have remained unchanged since 2020 and will be used once again this school year:

Breakfast - $1.70 - CES, SES, SMS, SHS

Lunch - $2.05 - CES, SES

Lunch - $2.20 - SMS

Lunch - $2.35 - SHS

Lunch - $2.35 - PTECH

Because of this expiration, we encourage every family, regardless of income, to fill out the free/reduced lunch application form. If you have any questions, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s main office.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this process.
