A free Prospective School Board Member Workshop will be provided by the Erie County Association of School Boards on Saturday, March 25.
At the annual Springville-Griffith Institute school budget vote and board member election to be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, there will be three (3) vacancies on the Board of Education created by the expiration of the terms of Chris Cerrone, Jessica Schuster and Jennifer Sullivan on June 30, 2023.
This free workshop is available for anyone interested in learning more about the process, role and issues of serving as a school board member. The workshop will be held from 8:00-10:30 am at the Erie 1 BOCES Education Campus, 355 Harlem Road, West Seneca. Register by calling (716)821-7297 or email ssummers@e1b.org.
You can obtain S-GI Board packets and petitions through the district website and in the District Clerkâs office starting on March 1. This workshop is not required to become a board member.
