The varsity girls basketball team dropped their first league game of the season over Winter Break as they fell 66-29 to Iroquois. The girls started off breaking the pressure of Iroquois easily as they had a number of open shots. Unfortunately, the girls couldn’t quite start fast enough, and Iroquois was able to make open shots when it counted most. Despite the result, the girls found a lot of success late in the game, pushing the ball in transition as the girls found themselves taking high percentage shots. Scoring for the Griff’s were: Chloe Lester 6 points, Dani Oakley 5 points, Kailey Lester 5 points, Riley Kamats 4 points, Meg Rosenswie 3 points, and Sophia Robinson along with Aurora Gartler scored 2 points each. The girls are now 3-4 overall and look to get back on track as they travel to Tonawanda this evening. Go Griff’s!!!
