SMS welcomes our incoming 6th graders to SMS to visit the building with their families on Tuesday, August 20th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Thursday, August 29th from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Appointments aren't necessary, and you may come anytime during these timeframes. During the visit, you can pick up your child’s schedule, take a self-guided tour, receive locker assignments, and feel free to drop off supplies. Our supply lists are available on the middle school website located HERE.

If you are unable to make it on Tuesday, August 20th or Thursday, August 29th, don’t worry: your child’s schedule will be available to view on PowerSchool, and a paper copy will be mailed to your home at the end of August. We will also have paper copies available for them on the first day of school. Additionally, our sixth-grade teachers kick off the school year with a week of team building. They will review how to open lockers, how the daily schedule works, and tour the building with all 6th-grade students. In the meantime, feel free to review the resources for the start of the school year available on the SMS website.
