Recently, seventh-grade students had the opportunity to hear from WNY Heroes representatives Shadasia Rogers and Dave College, who presented on the Pawsitive for Heroes Program. The visit was a result of seventh-grader Timothy Kley's Service Project. Each year, Mr. Karb, Mrs. Lewandowski and Mrs. Gaffeny assign the seventh-grade students a service project, which includes writing a business letter to a non-profit they are passionate about and performing 4-6 community service hours. Ms. Rogers and Mr. College and their service dogs shared about how the program provides service dogs for veterans, answering students' questions and allowing them to pet the dogs after the presentation. Stay tuned for more information on the rest of the students' projects!
