We are excited to share that families can now complete the free/reduced meals application using MySchoolApps. To register with SGI, you’ll need to first enter in the zip code of the district, 14141, at the bottom of the page and select “Springville-Griffith Institute CSD” once the result shows up. Check the “Terms & Conditions” box and you will then be prompted to begin completing the application. The entire process should take less than 10 minutes to complete and all you’ll need is your child’s name and birth date in order to apply. We hope that this will afford our families a convenient and secure way to provide this information. To apply, visit myschoolapps.com. If you have any questions, please reach out to Laura Watson, Director of Culinary Services, at (716) 592-3274 or at lwatson@springvillegi.org. You cairn also visit our Culinary Website at sgiculinary.org.

Springville Elementary fifth grader, Briar R. Johnson, donated $290.00 to P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative. In lieu of gifts, she asked her birthday guests to make a monetary donation or bring a gift card to help the P.U.N.T. families of WNY. P.U.N.T. provides local families affected by pediatric cancer with support and opportunities to improve their quality of life. #SGIStrong #RedefiningRural

The fifth grade students in Mrs. Campbell’s class presented their biography projects recently in ELA. We learned about a variety of interesting people including: Babe Ruth, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and more. Pictured below is Elton John, Maria Tallchief, and Jim Henson.

Technology is helping SGI 3rd graders learn their cursive! The students and teachers can scan a QR code on their devices, and each letter is taught on demand to the students. Students then go on to practice the cursive letter and words after the videos. #SGIStrong
