Springville High School hosted a Needs Assessment Data Walk to get student input and feedback. Twelve students from 9th through 12th grade participated in analyzing the data collected from student, parent and staff surveys and presenting their takeaways. They weighed in on topics like technology, mental health, diversity and career pathways.

Mrs. Balantyne's kindergarten class ventured outside to "Chalk the Walk" for PARP. Students left colorful drawings and writing on the sidewalk!

March 21st was World Down Syndrome Day. SMS students and staff celebrated by wearing their crazy socks!

Mr. Kohl's fourth-graders visited Mrs. Jackson's first-grade class to partner up and read each other stories during PARP! The first-graders took a turn being the reader first, and then they were the listeners as the fourth-graders read a funny story.

Students at SES were asked to make spaceships from materials they could find at home as part of this year's Pick a Reading Partner (PARP) theme, "Reading is Out of This World!" From pop bottles to Pringles cans, pie tins, Legos and clay sculptures, students submitted an array of spaceships, rockets and flying saucers. Each creation earned students a PARP ticket to enter a raffle drawing.

It is maple syrup season at SES! Mr. Chaddock and the fifth-grade class led students through the syrup-making process, from collecting the sap to boiling in the Sugar Shack to taste testing the final product.

Just a reminder that March 24th is a Superintendent's Conference Day.
