You may vote on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 without pre-registration on Thursday, May 12 if you are a registered voter with the school district. You are considered a registered voter with the school district if you have voted in at least one school vote since 2018. You are also eligible to vote without pre-registration if you are a registered voter with the Erie or Cattaraugus County Boards of Election and meet the residency requirements. You can check online to see if you are a registered voter with the Erie County Board of Elections by visiting their website at www.elections.erie.gov, click on the ‘Voter Lookup’ box--then proceed to enter the information requested. If you need additional assistance or information on whether or not you are already eligible to vote on Tuesday, May 17, without preregistering, contact the District Clerk at 716-592-3230 or via email at ktucker@springvillegi.org.

If you are currently not eligible to vote on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 without preregistration, Voter Registration Day is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 2022 between the hours of 12 noon and 8:00 pm at the following locations: High School Library Media Center Colden Elementary School Collins Center Fire Hall You must register at the polling location you are assigned to, which is based upon the location of your residence and which voting district your residence is located in. If you need information on which voting district your residence is located in, please contact the District Clerk at 716-592-3230 or via email at ktucker@springvillegi.org.

Absentee ballot applications are available from the District Clerk in the Superintendent’s Office at SGI Middle School. Contact the the District Clerk at 716-592-3230 or at ktucker@springvillegi.org to request an application for an absentee ballot. Once your application is completed, returned to the District Clerk, and verified that claimant is entitled to vote, ballots will be mailed or given to the applicant(s) in person if hand delivered. Applications for absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk at least 7 days before the vote (by Tuesday, May 10) if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election (Monday, May 16) if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. Individuals who are registered with the Erie County or Cattaraugus County Board of Elections as permanently disabled/confined or as a military absentee voter will automatically be mailed an absentee ballot.

What's on the ballot? Two Propositions. Proposition No. 1 - Approval of Basic Budget in the Amount of $43,423,097. Proposition No. 2 - Acquisition of School Buses and Similar Vehicles (and Related Equipment). Approximate Total Cost Not To Exceed $715,379.

Who's on the ballot? FIVE candidates to fill TWO (2) three-year terms & ONE (1) two-year term. In order of appearance on the ballot: Joseph M. Lowry III, Bryon Bobseine, Theodore J. (Ted) Winkey, Brett Landsman, Michele Idzik
