It's a battle of the decades at Springville High School! Spirit Week has brought out students' decorating creativity with a blast from the past in every hallway! It definitely "Smells like School Spirit " at SHS!
On the first day of Spirit Week, students broke out their cardigans, flannels, lanyards and walkie-talkies to dress like their teachers!

Hilbert College will hold College Night 2025 on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 6:30-8:00 PM. This event is sponsored by local school districts. No pre-registration is required.

High School students: The biggest event of the year will be taking place next Saturday evening, September 13th, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. in front of the concession stand at Pop Warner Field. Come kick off the year at our Homecoming dance with friends and classmates. Tickets are being sold in all lunches for $8.00 or on the night of the event for $10.00. Any questions, feel free to see Mrs. Smith in the technology office or Mr. Vogel in room 307.

Football season is underway! These boys have been working hard, and now is a great time to join your neighbors in eating nachos and pizza, cozied under blankets, while we watch them do what they love under those Friday night lights! #GoGrriffins
The varsity girls tennis team opened their season yesterday afternoon against perennial league power East Aurora. The girls gave a valiant effort but eventually lost 3-2. In the first singles play, Evelyn Berry won 6-3, 6-1. Evelyn battled back from a 2-3 first-set deficit to take the win. Berry, only a freshman, showed off some incredible baseline skills.
In second singles action, Natalie Rumfola won 6-3, 6-1. Natalie played a strong match overall and put her opponent in tough spots throughout the contest.
In first doubles action, Taylor Wells and Peyton Wells lost 2-6, 1-6. The sisters had some moments of solid play but couldn’t quite overcome EA’s consistency from the baseline.
In second doubles play, Teerada Dickson and Jackie Thompson lost 1-6, 2-6. The girls had some quality shots during the match and will look to bounce back in their next contest.
In third doubles play, Chloe Dinse-Johnson and Alexis Beckwith lost 1-6, 2-6. There were some highlights throughout the match and quality play.
In doubles exhibition pla,y Kailyn Sprague and Gianna Nevins lost 2-8. Abby Adkinson and Amileah Muhisin lost 2-8. Lily Wantuck and Maya Schunk lost 1-8. Rory Sarver lost in singles action 1-8.
The girls will look to bounce back on Friday when they play host to JFK at 4:30 pm.

Recently, we welcomed SGI faculty and staff back to school for opening day! A delicious breakfast was prepared by SGI Culinary. Superintendent Bialasik greeted those gathered, and they heard an inspiring message from former educator John Perricone. Mr. Perricone presented the concept of Sho-shen, which aligns with SGI's mission that all possess an innate curiosity. SGI faculty and staff have been busy preparing for the students' return on Tuesday, September 2!
