



In the first singles play, Bryce Cook lost 0-6, 1-6. Bryce played one of the area's best players and wasn't overwhelmed. Cook nailed multiple aces and winners on the day.
In second singles action, Garrison Heichberger lost 4-6, 6-7 (8-10) in one of the best matches of the year. Heichberger was at his best from the baseline on the day and was consistent from the service line. Despite the loss, Garrison played one of his best matches of the season.
In first doubles play, Matt Baumgartner and Liam Bobseine lost 1-6, 3-6. Matt was fantastic from the baseline with his forehand, and Liam did a terrific job striking his two-handed backhand. The loss was deceiving as the duo played at a high level and could've brought the match to a third set.
In second doubles action, Avery Noeson and Forrest Prouty won a thrilling three-set match by a score of 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. The boys did a great job rebounding from the second set loss to focus on the decisive third set. Forrest was excellent with his feet and hustle, and Avery crushed home many winners from the net to capture the win.
In third doubles play, Will Prinino and Kaiden Bialasik won 6-3, 6-3. The pair were impressive on the day, with Kaiden striking the ball consistently well from the baseline and Will being aggressive at the net.
In exhibition play, Brodie Neureuther and Cullen McAndrew scored a big 6-2 win. Toly Wochensky and Oliver Prinino lost a tough 5-7 match. Tristan Jones and Sebastian Ehrig lost 1-6. And Jackson Keyser and Henry Schuster lost 2-6.
Despite the result being the team's first loss of the season, it gave them a great challenge to prepare for the ECIC Tournament, which is happening today. A big congratulations goes out to Bryce Cook, Garrison Heichberger, Liam Bobseine, Matt Baumgartner, Avery Noeson and Forrest Prouty on being selected to this prestigious event!
The season is not over, as Division 4 still needs to be decided. That match will take place on Thursday, May 21st, at East Aurora to determine the league championship.

On Friday, six SGI seniors' hard work and dedication culminated in their signing to play athletics at the college level. Surrounded by coaches and family, Lillian Enser, Daniella Oakley, James Rola, Aubrie Stanisewski and Ryan Miga made their commitments for next year official. In first singles play Bryce Cook won 6-1, 6-0. Cook made smart decisions on the court and was opportunistic with being aggressive to get the win.
In second singles action Garrison Heichberger won 6-1, 6-0. Heichberger played a steady and consistent match which never gave his opponent a chance to compete.
In first doubles play Matt Baumgartner and Liam Bobseine lost 2-6, 5-7. The duo battled back in both sets but couldn’t quite pull off the win. Despite the result, both players made some solid plays on the day.
In second doubles action Forrest Prouty and Avery Noeson won 6-2, 6-2. Forrest did a great job of setting Avery up at the net for some huge kills up front.
In third doubles play Frank Keeton and Will Prinino won 6-1, 6-0. The tandem continued their strong play on the season and took home the emphatic win.
The team is now 13-0 and will host East Aurora this afternoon, in a showdown of the two best teams in D4. Both teams enter the match undefeated in league play. Come out and support the team today!

6-0 win. Bruce was sharp throughout the contest and never gave his opponent a chance to get into the match.
Garrison Heichberger won the second singles by winning 6-1, 6-3. Garrison had some solid groundstrokes on the day, along with some creative drop shots to get the win.
In first doubles action, Avery Noeson and Liam Bobseine lost 6-4, 3-6, and 4-10. It was a high-level match which saw both players hit some terrific shots. Despite the result, both players will bounce back when they return to the court.
In second doubles play, Forrest Prouty and Frank Keeton won 6-0, 6-4. The tandem dominated the first set and found a way to get the win in the 2nd set. Forrest was a beast at the net, and Frank hit some incredible angles on the day.
Will Prinino and Kaiden Bialasik won third doubles 6-2, 6-1. Between Will's high-quality net play and Kaiden's solid baseline play, both players did a great job of playing complementary tennis.
In exhibition action, Oliver Prinino and Cullen McAndrew won 6-1. Brodie Neureuther and Toly Wochensky won 6-4.
It was the perfect way to celebrate SGI’s 6 seniors.
The team travels to Eden this afternoon in a D4 matchup.

In second doubles action, Avery Noeson and Forrest Prouty won 6-0, 6-0. The tandem was tough throughout, hitting good angles with their groundstrokes and remaining consistent from the service line.
In third doubles play, Frank Keeton and Will Prinino won 6-0, 6-1. Both Frank and Will did a great job of putting pressure on their opponents with some tough shots.
In exhibition play, Kaiden Bialasik and Will Prinino won 6-0. Tristan Jones and Cullen McAndrew won 6-0. Ben Watson and Brodie Neureuther won 6-3. And Henry Schuster and Jackson Keyser lost a tough 3-6 contest.
On Saturday, the boys' tennis team hosted the team championships and lost in the second round of the event to a strong Maple Grove team by a score of 3-2. The boys started off their day with a nice 4-1 win over Westfield.
The team takes the court this afternoon against West Seneca, come out and support the group but also, our 5 tremendous seniors!


Colden students prepared their gifts for mom this week! Kindergartners decorated their own planters and added plants and seeds, creating beautiful pots that will continue to grow. Pre-K students drew their moms a beautiful picture. Happy Mother's Day!

In first singles action, Bryce Cook won 6-4, 6-4. Bryce was exceptional on the day as he kept his feet moving and made some big baseline shots to get the win. Cook’s serve was also a big weapon on the day.
In the second singles play, Garrison Heichberger lost 4-6, 4-6. The match was extremely close throughout as both players were about as even as it could get. Garrison showed some terrific net play and hustle despite the loss.
In first doubles action, Matt Baumgartner and Liam Bobseine won 6-1, 6-4. The duo played a near-flawless first set as both players were hitting their shots consistently. The second set was much closer, but the senior tandem found a way to close out the contest.
In second doubles play, Forrest Prouty and Avery Noeson won 6-1, 6-1. The story of the match was the complementary tennis being played by both players. Both guys set each other up consistently, leading to many winners on the day.
In third doubles action, Will Prinino and Frank Keeton won 6-1, 6-1. Both players continued to exhibit consistent play, both from the net and baseline.
In exhibition action, Kaiden Bialasik and Cullen McAndrew lost 5-7. Ben Watson and Brodie Neureuther lost 1-6 in doubles play. And Alex Benz with Tristan Jones lost 3-6.
The boys wrap up the week when they travel to JFK this afternoon.
